  • Wolf Caf have opened shop in Stratford in their converted container

  • Eat St Cafe is on the corner of Smithfield Village Drive and Obrien Rd. Reopened.

  • Palm Cove’s newest cafe has opened on the corner of Veivers Rd and Triton St. Hole in the wall cafe with seating; takeaway cups only.

  • The reins of Mucho Love in Edge Hill have been handed over to Tylar.

    Coffee Buoy is a sleek new spacious cafe in the Corporate Towers building, Lake Street.

  • Popular corner cafe at Smithfield Village, Eat St, closed in November 2023.

    “For lease” signs now dominate this shopping block, unfortunately.

    Eat St in Edge Hill has also closed.

  • Cruze have added a third store to their Cairns Cafe set - Cruze Smithfield Mall. Offering 30+ varieties of coffee, prepared freshly and customised for each customer.

  • Garage occupies a prime spot at Palm Cove, overlooking the Coral Sea. Formerly Coffee Haven. Rave reviews!

  • Toasted Goat are operating their food van from the Go Kart track on the corner of the Captain Cook Highway and Walker Rd (between Yorkeys and Holloways). Billy’s coffee and toasties!

  • Amanda has created Memories Cafe at Yorkeys Knob (formerly Cafe Yorkeys). Coffee now Social Coffee.

  • Social Espresso Bar has opened in the industrial zone in Woree, serving roasted-up-here Social Coffee.

  • Sharbella Espresso now have extended trading days (Tue - Sat) and offer sit down coffee from their new deck cafe at the Redlynch Valley Tennis Club. Previously operating on Sat mornings from their coffee cart.

  • Elva’s @ Coolwaters Holiday Park have closed temporarily for renovations.

  • Alchemy Cafe (inside Healthy Hub) closed on 29th October 2022.

  • Botanica in Edge Hill has closed now. Matt & the Botanica crew thank all their “amazing loyal customers”.

  • For 3 weeks Cafe Yorkeys have participated in Use Your Own Cup Day - a program to encourage greater use of reusable coffee cups.

  • The new Poco Cafe Cairns had their grand opening on 7th September 2022. Formerly The Palms, Poco have an alluring Mexican theme.

  • New cafe The Quack, serving White Whale coffee, is now open, corner of Upward St and McLeod St, Cairns.

  • Local’s favourite, The Palms, in Aeroglen, has changed owner, but is closed in the meantime - “Opening soon”

  • Coffee in Cairns welcomes Serendipity Cafe Lounge, Edmonton, to the Cairns cafe community!

  • Mungali’s The Dairy organic ice-creamery & milkbar are open for coffee (takeaway) and their delicious range of ice-creams, but the sit-down part of their cafe has closed in the meantime.

  • Sadly, The Watergardens Nursery Coffee Hut has closed for now. One of Cairns’ best cafes bites the dust : (

    Watergardens plants and pots open for business as normal, sans coffee.
