To be commercially viable, coffee farms in this region use mechanical harvesting.
The soils are disease free so the coffee is grown without the use of pesticides.
Australian coffee producers grow the premium Arabica coffee.
While the Atherton Tablelands is Australia’s primary coffee growing region, coffee cultivation also takes place in northern New South Wales.
