People love Ellis for its undeveloped feel. Here there are no high rises to block your view of the Wet Tropics Rainforest that touches the sands.

In 1988 the church was relocated to its present site “by the sea”.

St Mary’s By The Sea is an iconic attraction in Port Douglas. As a non-denominational church, St Mary’s is now very popular as a wedding venue and attracts 100’s of weddings each year.

Four Mile Beach Port Douglas

Four Mile Beach

On the southern side of Port Douglas town you’ll discover Port Douglas’ much-admired Four Mile Beach.

Its fine golden sands stretch for miles - starting from the rocky headland at the end of Macrossan Street.
